Charles Settlement House will celebrate its 95th anniversary at a luncheon on May 3 at the Burgundy Basin Inn. County Executive Maggie Brooks and Rochester Mayor Thomas Richards will serve as honorary chairpersons as the human service organization commemorates its long-standing commitment to northwest Rochester.

The Most Reverend Matthew H. Clark, Bishop of Rochester will say the invocation. Charles Settlement House Step Team, “The Elements” will perform along with the Steel Guitar Group from the Charles House School #17 After-School Program. Videos, historic photos and displays will take guests on a journey through the organization’s history.

Awards will be presented to the following at the luncheon:

  • Arline Pink, Rochester, Outstanding Senior Award
  • Dorothy R. Pecoraro, Brighton, Outstanding Volunteer Award
  • Joseph Carrozzi, Charlotte, Outstanding Alumni Award
  • David Allen, Rochester, Outstanding Youth Award
  • Kiwanis Club of Brighton, Outstanding Citizen/Group Award

Tickets for the event on May 3 beginning at 11:30 a.m. at the Burgundy Basin Inn are $40.00 each or a table of 8 for $300.00. For luncheon tickets or more information, call (585) 277-0810.
